Customer Care Team Lead Temp Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Customer Care Team Lead to join a well-known and much-loved Australian retail brand on an immediate temporary basis. Based on the outskirts of the city his role will provide hands-on leadership and support to an established Customer Care team while the business recruits permanently.
Your new role
Working closely with the wider business, you will be responsible for keeping the Customer Care function running smoothly day to day, including:
Leading and supporting the Customer Care team
Managing customer escalations and complex enquiries
Monitoring customer tickets and ensuring timely resolution
Managing team rosters and timesheets
Providing additional coverage during periods of leave
Supporting consistent, high-quality customer service across multiple channels
Using customer and service data to identify issues and opportunities for improvement

What you'll need to succeed




You will ideally have previous experience as a Customer Care Team Leader, Customer Service Team Leader or Customer Experience Team Leader, preferably within retail, e-commerce or a similarly rapid-paced customer environment. You will bring:
Proven experience leading a customer service or customer care team
Confidence managing escalations and competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valuable systems capability and the ability to learn current platforms quickly
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A hands-on approach and the confidence to step into an existing operation quickly
Experience with Gorgias, Shopify, Recharge, Global-e or similar platforms would be highly regarded
