Role: Python Developer

Work location: Sydney, NSW

Role type: Permanent/Full time

We use a broad range of technologies, tools, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all, but experience in several of the following areas will help you succeed in this role:

Must have:
Robust software engineering fundamentals, including system design, design patterns, clean code practices, and automated testing.
Proven hands-on development experience, preferably in Python, building scalable and maintainable production systems.
Experience designing and delivering cloud-native, distributed or event-driven systems and contributing to technical design decisions.
Experience building or integrating APIs, data pipelines, workflow automation and data-intensive applications.
Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD,



and engineering automation, with experience using tools such as GitHub Actions or similar.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
Knowledge of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and production support.
Understanding of secure software development practices and DevSecOps principles.

Nice to have:
Experience or knowledge of banking, lending, working capital, trade finance, commodities or financial markets will be highly regarded

Skills must have:
Python, AWS, DevOps, Trade finance (Trading) domain expertise, as he/she needs to work closely with the Business team (Trading SME’s).
