Role Description This part-time Sales Assistant – Furniture & Interior role is an in office position based in St Kilda, VIC. The Sales Assistant supports customers on the showroom floor, providing product information, styling suggestions, and guidance on furniture and décor selections. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding their needs, presenting suitable options, processing sales, and handling basic inquiries. The role also involves maintaining store presentation, organizing stock, updating displays, and assisting with merchandising activities. The Sales Assistant works closely with the store team to meet sales goals, ensure a positive customer experience,



and uphold Artspire Home’s brand standards.

Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities, with a focus on building rapport and providing a welcoming in-store experience.
Explicit and professional communication skills, including the capacity to listen actively and explain product features and perks confidently.
Sales skills and a results-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify customer needs, recommend suitable products, and close sales ethically.
Organization skills to manage multiple customer interactions, keep displays tidy, and support stock handling and store presentation.
Interest in furniture, interior design, and home décor, with an eye for aesthetics and basic styling knowledge.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling associated with furniture and décor items.
Previous retail or showroom experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
Availability to work a part time schedule, including weekends or peak trading hours as required.
