About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in delivering outstanding guest service by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality throughout the hotel. This role focuses on teamwork and collaboration to create a welcoming and personalised guest experience. Responsibilities include coordinating guest arrivals and departures, supervising room attendants, and providing ongoing support to the housekeeping team.

With a strong emphasis on organisation, efficiency, and attention to detail, the Supervisor ensures guest rooms and public areas are prepared to the highest standards, rooms are ready on time, and daily operations run smoothly in line with hotel expectations. You will:

- Supervise and inspect guest rooms, suites and public areas to ensure exceptional cleanliness, presentation and compliance with InterContinental brand standards.
- Coordinate room readiness for arrivals, departures and stayover guests, working closely with Front Office to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Ensure guest requests, VIP amenities and maintenance concerns are actioned promptly, contributing to guest satisfaction and service excellence.

About you

- Previous housekeeping experience,



preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Supervisory experience and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to InterContinental brand standards.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
- A hands-on, guest-focused approach with a passion for service excellence.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and workplace health and safety.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Intended commencement date for this position would be the 07 December 2026 or 04 January 2027, with the role being located on Hayman Island, Queensland. Appropriate Australian working rights are required for this role.

- The base hourly rate for this position is $31.75 under the Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement, working a minimum of 38 hours per week across a 7-day roster with shifts spanning from early in the morning until later at night.
