You’ve built practical experience with Entra ID. You can troubleshoot access issues, work through application integrations and understand what happens when provisioning doesn’t work as it should.

Now you want more involvement in how the platform is built. The chance to automate the manual work, follow integrations through to completion and see your engineering decisions improve the way identity operates.

This role gives you that opportunity early in an identity transformation. Working directly with the Identity Platform Manager and an implementation partner, you’ll help build the foundations, then stay involved as the platforms mature.

Why this role exists

A financial services organisation is beginning a transformation across Identity and Access Management and Privileged Access Management, with Microsoft Entra ID and BeyondTrust as its core platforms.

With approximately 25 applications in scope, the work extends beyond deploying technology. Applications, employee lifecycle processes and privileged accounts need to connect into a reliable identity environment.

The Identity Platform Manager leads the strategy. Your mandate is to turn that direction into working integrations, automated workflows and platforms that can be supported and improved over time.

What you’ll own

You’ll take ownership of engineering tasks from understanding the requirement through to implementation, troubleshooting and ongoing improvement.

Your work will include:

- Integrating applications with Entra ID for single sign-on and access management.
- Connecting HR processes to employee onboarding, role changes and offboarding.
- Developing provisioning workflows, permissions and identity governance processes.




- Helping onboard privileged accounts into BeyondTrust.
- Building API integrations and automation where applications lack direct connectivity.
- Supporting platform reliability and resolving issues alongside application owners, vendors and technology teams.

You’ll contribute during implementation and continue developing the environment once it moves into ongoing operation.

The environment

You’ll join a small internal identity team, working closely with an experienced identity leader and the implementation vendor. Your contribution will be visible, and you’ll need to be comfortable investigating problems, asking questions and following work through.

This is an early-stage transformation with practical delivery expectations. There is meaningful integration work ahead, alongside the need to build dependable security controls in a financial services environment.

The usual working pattern is three days per week in the Sydney CBD office.

What you’ll bring

- Practical Entra ID experience, with examples of solutions you’ve built, integrated or troubleshot.
- An engineering approach to identity problems, including scripting and API integration skills.
- Experience across areas such as SSO, provisioning, identity governance or privileged access.
- An interest in automating manual processes. Microsoft Logic Apps experience would be particularly valuable.
- Ownership of your work, sound judgement and clear communication with technical teams, application owners and vendors.

You don’t need deep expertise across every platform. BeyondTrust and broader PAM capability can be developed in the role.

If you’re looking to move away from hands‑on engineering, this role is unlikely to suit you.
