Kyneton Land 1 Pty Ltd t/asFoamworks is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to support the preparation and development of detailed technical drawings, plans and specifications for lightweight decorative mouldings and related products.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work with technical information, product specifications and measurements to prepare accurate drawings and illustrations for manufacturing, product development and installation purposes. The role requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail and the ability to translate design requirements into clear and precise technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing detailed technical drawings, plans and illustrations for lightweight decorative moldings and related products in accordance with specified requirements.
- Interpreting technical specifications, design information, measurements and other relevant documentation to develop accurate drawings.
- Preparing detailed drawings showing product dimensions, profiles, cross-sections, elevations and other relevant technical features.
- Developing and modifying technical drawings to reflect design changes, product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other drafting tools to prepare, revise and maintain technical drawings.
- Calculating and verifying dimensions, measurements, scales and material specifications to ensure the accuracy of drawings.
- Reviewing drawings and technical documentation to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies or errors and making the necessary corrections.
- Consulting with management, production personnel and other relevant team members to clarify technical requirements and ensure drawings meet operational needs.




- Maintaining accurate and organised records of technical drawings, revisions, product specifications and related documentation.
- Ensuring that drawings and technical documents are prepared in accordance with relevant specifications, established procedures and applicable technical standards.
- Providing technical drawing information and documentation to support manufacturing and product preparation activities, while taking installation requirements into consideration during the design stage.
- Updating existing drawings and technical records to reflect approved modifications and changes to product specifications.
- Coordinating drafting requirements with relevant personnel to support the timely completion of technical documentation and related projects.

Qualifications & Experience

- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical information, measurements and product specifications.
- Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other technical drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, dimensions, scales and drawing conventions.
- Ability to review technical drawings, identify discrepancies and make accurate revisions.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical documentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with management and other relevant personnel.
- Ability to manage drafting tasks, maintain accurate records and meet established deadlines.

Salary offered is between $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation depending on qualification and experience.

Other employment benefits and entitlements will be provided in accordance with the applicable employment conditions and the National Employment Standards.
