The Role

JPS Medical Recruitment is speaking with doctors interested in future Emergency Medicine Registrar opportunities at a major tertiary teaching hospital in South Australia.

This Expressions of Interest campaign is suited to Emergency Medicine Registrars seeking exposure to a high-volume emergency department within a large multidisciplinary health service. Working alongside experienced Emergency Physicians and senior medical staff, you will contribute to the assessment and management of a broad range of adult and paediatric presentations while developing your clinical decision making, procedural skills and leadership within the Emergency Department.

The role offers exposure to undifferentiated emergency presentations, time critical illness and trauma, with opportunities to work collaboratively across inpatient specialties and critical care services.

This major tertiary teaching hospital is one of South Australia's busiest public health services and plays an important role in delivering emergency, acute and specialist care to a large metropolitan and regional referral population.

Training & Development

with Registrars benefiting from a supportive consultant led environment and exposure to a broad emergency medicine case mix.

Subject to the successful applicant's training pathway and available rotations, opportunities may include:

- Direct supervision and clinical support from FACEM Emergency Physicians.
- Diverse exposure to medical, surgical, trauma and paediatric emergency presentations.
- Structured bedside teaching, case discussions and departmental education.
- Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement activities.
- Opportunities to develop procedural and resuscitation skills in a busy Emergency Department.
- Supportive learning environment for doctors progressing their emergency medicine careers.

College accreditation and accredited training time should be confirmed directly with the health service.
