Gold Coast Community Lifestyles (GCCL) is a local not-for-profit organisation with 25 years of experience supporting people with disability across the Gold Coast.

Our practice is guided by Social Role Valorisation (SRV), promoting valued social roles, meaningful relationships, community inclusion and independence for people with disability.

We are seeking experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across a range of casual and ongoing opportunities.

About the role

Responsibilities may include:

- Personal care and daily living support.

- Community access, social participation and appointments.

- Promoting independence, skill development and valued social roles.

- Supporting meaningful relationships and community inclusion.

- Supporting people with complex disability, health needs and behaviours of concern.

- Following individual support plans and Positive Behaviour Support strategies.

- Providing active overnight supervision and responding to support needs.

- Completing accurate shift notes and handovers.





Active overnight positions require workers to remain awake and alert throughout the entire shift.

About you

You will be an experienced, reliable support worker committed to respectful, person-centred practice and supporting people to achieve their goals.

Essential requirements

- Minimum two years' disability support experience.

- Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or a related field.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.

- Current Blue Card, where applicable, or willingness to obtain one.
