Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated Financial Accountant for to join an established finance team within the resources sector on a temp to perm basis.
Based in Perth CBD, this role offers exposure to a complex corporate environment, involvement in financial reporting and the opportunity to contribute to the financial performance of a growing mining business.
Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

- Preparing monthly financial reports, management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.




- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assisting with statutory reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Managing general ledger activities, journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis as required.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy and internal controls.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide timely and reliable financial information.

About You

- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, or be working towards completion.
- Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar financial reporting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Exposure to month-end and year-end processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience within mining, resources or an ASX-listed environment will be highly regarded.
