Working with Port Stephens Council within the compliance team will give you the variety you're looking for as no two days are the same.

As a proactive and community minded individual you will help deliver a broad range of regulatory and educational services.

As the General Duties Ranger , you will be in a diverse, hands on position.

You may be responding to an animal complaint, undertaking patrols, supporting the bulky and illegal waste investigation program, or helping a resident understand their obligations under the local laws.

You'll play a key role in upholding Council regulations, with a key focus and priority on parking enforcement, particularly during peak holiday seasons.

This role is for someone who can have difficult conversations with empathy,



remain calm under pressure and confidently apply legislation and policy.

You will understand that the best outcome isn't always achieved through enforcement.

Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Control) or equivalent

Current C Class Drivers Licence

Demonstrated experience in a compliance or investigatory role

This position requires verification of a cleared Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (National Police Check).

Location: Raymond Terrace - Council Administration Building

Casual Hourly Pay Rate: Monday to Friday - $49.71 - higher pay rates for weekends and public holidays
