Social Media & Ecommerce Assistant (Health & Fitness Industry) 12 Month Contract

Please note, this is not a work from home position and you will be required to come into our West End office 5 days per week. Following successful completion of the probation period there will be an option to move to a 4 day work week.

Sole Distribution are a privately owned e-commerce and wholesale company with offices in Melbourne and Brisbane serving thousands of customers weekly. Our brands currently include Vivobarefoot, Dansko, Sole Mechanics, Groundies, Notace and The Rehab Mechanics.

We are rapid-paced, often operating on tight timelines and delivery schedules in the dynamic footwear and foot health industries. We have a vacancy for a permanent full-time Social Media & Ecommerce Assistant working from our Brisbane office in West End with an immediate start preferred.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re hiring a Social Media & Ecommerce Assistant to produce meaningful and fun content. You’ll be working with a small team to create marketing materials, social media, email newsletters and general brand marketing of our websites.

This is a highly creative role so we're wanting someone who can understand multiple brand languages and switch between them with confidence.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

We're looking for a self-motivated team player with a passion for creating engaging digital content including videos, photography, social media and print designs. You'll share our desire to build a community around our brands while demonstrating a high standard of professionalism within your role.

Tertiary qualification (or currently working towards one) in marketing,



communications, or related field.

Experience in a similar role where you can demonstrate your creative abilities and knowledge of the digital content landscape.

The ability to generate fresh content ideas to engage with our current audience and build our digital community.

Demonstrable skills and experience in digital content production across photography, video and writing.

Intermediate to advanced digital design skills.

Support the ecommerce team in the development and execution of online sales and promotion strategies to drive traffic and conversion online.

Support the ecommerce team with related activities as required.

Support the ecommerce team in product onboarding, including descriptions, prices, and images, are accurate and appealing.

Experience using Klaviyo, Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms an advantage.

Experience using Shopify or other ecommerce platforms an advantage.

Strategic skills to assist with the development and implementation of marketing plans for each brand.

Experience in creating content for and nurturing a community across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, blogs, and ecommerce.

Experience using Canva and/or the Adobe suite for creating designs.

Graphic Design skills an advantage.

Strong creative thinking skills and the ability to think outside the box.

The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and work confidently under pressure is necessary.

Solid organisational skills that enable multitasking, prioritising, executing in a quick-paced environment and managing time effectively in order to meet deadlines.
