Assistant Accountant – Temp to Perm | Immediate Start

Location: Canning Vale, WA (Relocating to Rockingham in May 2027)

Salary: $93,000 per annum (upon permanent appointment)
Casual Pay Rate: $50–$55 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent | 38 Hours per Week

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a well-established company operating in the mining services and manufacturing industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional looking for a long-term career opportunity within a supportive and growing business.

The position will initially commence on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Accounts Payable (AP) invoices and manage payment runs.

- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including receipting and debtor follow-ups.

- Prepare month-end journals and assist with month-end reporting.

- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

- Assist with general accounting and finance-related administrative tasks.





- Support the finance team with other duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role.

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

- Experience preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Previous experience working with ERP systems.

- Positive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential.
