This role is ideal for an OHT who enjoys general and preventive dentistry, has a genuine interest in treating children, and wants to be part of a supportive team focused on quality patient care.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- General & Preventive Dentistry: Provide professional scale and cleans, periodontal maintenance, oral health assessments and preventive treatments within your scope of practice.
- Paediatric Dentistry: Work confidently with children of different ages, making dental visits enjoyable, positive and comfortable.
You should have a genuine interest in treating children and helping them develop healthy oral hygiene habits from an early age.
- Working Alongside Our Principal Dentist: Collaborate with the Principal Dentist to support routine examinations, identify oral health concerns and ensure patients receive appropriate care.
- Patient Education That Makes a Difference: Educate children, parents and adult patients about oral hygiene, preventive strategies and maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
- Creating Positive Dental Experiences: Help nervous patients and children feel at ease through patience, empathy and clear communication.
- A Collaborative Clinical Environment: Work closely with the Principal Dentist, dental assistants and reception team to ensure efficient workflows and a welcoming patient experience.
The Real Reward: Building Healthier Smiles
From helping a child feel comfortable in the dental chair for the first time to supporting an adult in improving their gum health, every appointment is an opportunity to make a difference.
We value an Oral Health Therapist who understands that prevention, education and trust are essential to long-term oral health. You will have the opportunity to build robust patient relationships, encourage healthy habits in children and families, and contribute to a positive dental experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
The Mindset We’re Looking For
- Great With Kids: You genuinely enjoy working with children, can engage with them at their level and know how to make dental appointments fun, reassuring and age-appropriate.
- Patient-Focused: You are compassionate, approachable and committed to helping patients improve their oral health.
- A Team Player: You enjoy working collaboratively with the Principal Dentist and the wider dental team.
- Friendly & Communicative: You can build rapport with children, parents and adult patients and communicate treatment recommendations clearly.
- Reliable & Professional: You take pride in your clinical work, maintain accurate records and follow appropriate clinical and infection-control standards.
- Passionate About Prevention: You understand the importance of early intervention, oral health education and preventive dental care.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist.
- A genuine interest in paediatric dentistry and providing oral health care to children.
- The ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and adult patients.
What We Offer
- A Fixed 3-Day Roster: Work every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a consistent weekly schedule.
- Direct Collaboration With Our Principal Dentist: Work in a supportive environment with opportunities to discuss patient care and seek clinical guidance.
- A Friendly Team Workplace: Join a team that values collaboration, respectful communication and quality patient care.
- A Focus on General & Preventive Dentistry: Concentrate on routine oral health services, periodontal maintenance and patient education rather than complex cosmetic or full-mouth rehabilitation cases.
- The Opportunity to Make a Difference: Help children develop positive dental habits while supporting the oral health of patients across all age groups.
- Competitive Remuneration: A package commensurate with your experience, qualifications and employment arrangement.
Ready to Join Our Team?
If you are a caring and enthusiastic Oral Health Therapist who enjoys general dentistry, loves working with children and wants to work alongside an experienced Principal Dentist, we would love to hear from you.
