Blacktown
Lead with purpose. Shape progress for a growing city.
Join our Community Law Enforcement and Waste team as a Support Officer, helping manage the everyday requests that keep essential Council services moving. You respond to residents about missed waste services, parking, abandoned vehicles and overgrown properties, provide clear advice and direct requests to the right team. You work with the Contact Centre, Rates section, waste drivers and contractors to resolve enquiries and keep customers informed.
You manage service requests, correspondence and records, investigate requests that are overdue and maintain information in Council databases. You process invoices and purchase orders, assist with financial and service reporting, prepare meeting documents, take minutes and follow up actions. Priorities change throughout the day, so you balance competing requests while keeping information accurate and confidential.
Your work helps residents get timely answers and supports cleaner neighbourhoods, safer public spaces and reliable waste services. You must bring a minimum Certificate III in a related field, relevant experience, and strong communication and organisational skills.
Enjoy secure employment,
practical work life balance and opportunities to develop your skills across Community Law Enforcement and Waste.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
- a secure, permanent, full-time role with one of Australia's largest councils
- an entry level salary commencing at $1,420.05 per week
- a 35-hour working week
