Join Berendsen Fluid Power’s Newcastle Engineering team and help take hydraulic engineering projects from customer enquiry through to installation and commissioning at sites across Australia.
Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, you’ll combine technical understanding with estimating, planning and commercial coordination. You’ll work with Engineering to understand customer requirements, prepare quotations and tenders, and coordinate the activities needed to deliver the agreed scope.
Your involvement will continue beyond the planning stage. Alongside coordinating suppliers, purchasing and workshop activities, you’ll attend customer sites to oversee installation and commissioning, helping bring the project through to completion.
You’ll:
Prepare project estimates and quotations covering components, materials, labour, subcontract services and freight.
Review technical drawings, tender specifications and customer requirements with Engineering, clarifying scope, identifying risks and preparing submissions for approval.
Assess supplier and subcontractor quotations, confirming pricing, lead times and compliance with project requirements.
Check customer orders against the approved scope and coordinate procurement, schedules and project milestones.
Work with Engineering, purchasing, workshop teams, branches and suppliers to resolve issues and keep delivery progressing.
Maintain customer communication and track project costs, variations and documentation through to handover and close-out.
Attend customer sites to oversee project installation and commissioning.
This Newcastle-based role requires travel across Australia to customer sites.
