About the Role:
We're looking for a talented and hands-on Head Chef with a genuine passion for Japanese cuisine to take ownership of our new restaurant's kitchen operations.

Working closely with our leadership team, you will play an integral role in shaping the menu, building a talented kitchen brigade and establishing the culinary standards of this exciting new venue.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the opening of a brand-new premium Japanese restaurant
- Develop and execute an exceptional Japanese-inspired menu, showcasing authentic techniques, premium ingredients and cutting-edge flavours
- Recruit, train, mentor and inspire a high-performing kitchen team
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality and exceptional presentation
- Manage food costs, labour budgets, ordering, stock control and kitchen profitability
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and operational compliance
- Work collaboratively with the broader management team to deliver an outstanding dining experience
- Bring fresh ideas, creativity and a genuine passion for food to the restaurant

About You:

We're looking for someone who is as passionate about people as they are about food.





- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a premium Japanese restaurant
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, preparation methods and traditional cooking techniques
- Experience in menu development, kitchen operations and financial management
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to build, motivate and develop a team
- A hands-on approach, strong attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence
- The creativity, drive and enthusiasm to make your mark on an exciting new restaurant opening
