About the Role

Faststud is a leading supplier to the commercial and residential building industries. Working with Australia's leading manufacturers, we distribute building products including steel framing, plasterboard, fibre cement, insulation, and accessories.

Faststud are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in hardware retail, building supplies, timber, trade centres, plumbing, electrical wholesale, or other trade-related retail environments who enjoys helping customers and delivering outstanding service.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be the first point of contact for Faststud customers, assisting both over the counter and over the phone. The role combines customer service, sales support, order processing, and coordination of deliveries and customer pickups.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist customers in person, over the phone and via email
- Provide product information and recommendations
- Process sales orders and quotations accurately
- Enter and manage orders using our computer systems
- Assist with planning customer collections and delivery schedules




- Liaise with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Resolve customer enquiries and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process
- Support the wider team to achieve service and sales targets

About You

- Previous experience in a hardware store, building materials supplier, trade centre, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, timber, roofing or similar environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience handling both face-to-face and phone-based sales enquiries
- Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- High attention to detail when entering orders and processing customer information
- A positive attitude and genuine desire to help customers

Highly Regarded

- Knowledge of building materials, construction products or trades-based industries
- Experience coordinating deliveries or logistics
- Internal sales or customer service experience within a trade or industrial environment
