This is a Staff Specialist (ongoing) position, with negotiable hours, offering an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Medical Oncologist to join a well-established regional cancer service. You will deliver inpatient and outpatient oncology care, including systemic therapy and multidisciplinary planning, while contributing to clinical governance, service development, and supervision within a team-oriented team.

The Facility

The hospital is a major regional referral centre servicing a large cross-border population.



Its Medical Oncology service provides comprehensive cancer care, including chemotherapy delivery, outpatient clinics, inpatient management, and multidisciplinary team coordination. The department works closely with tertiary centres to ensure access to advanced treatments while maintaining strong local capability in cancer management and supportive care. With a collaborative team environment and exposure to a diverse oncology case mix, the service offers a well-rounded and supportive training experience.

The Requirements

- MBBS or equivalent degree.
- Registered or registrable with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians including advanced training and specialist recognition as a Medical Oncologist.
