The opportunity

This isn't your typical sales role.

You'll be the face of Smartstone within the architectural and design community,



building relationships with leading architecture and interior design practices and inspiring them to specify our products in their projects.

From beautiful residential homes to major commercial developments, you'll work with designers and architects from the earliest concept stages, introducing innovative surface solutions and helping bring their projects to life.

You'll have the freedom to build your network, develop new opportunities and make a genuine impact on the growth of our business.

What you’ll be doing

- Building relationships: Connect with and develop long-term partnerships with leading Tier 1 and Tier 2 architects, interior designers and key industry specifiers.
- Inspiring the design community: Present our beautiful sintered stone collection through engaging meetings, product presentations and showroom visits.
- Getting involved in exciting projects: Work alongside designers from the initial concept stage, understanding their vision and recommending the right Smartstone solutions.
- Driving specifications: Identify and pursue new residential and commercial project opportunities using platforms such as BCI and EstimateOne.
- Turning opportunities into results: Work closely with our National Commercial Manager and wider sales team to secure specifications and see projects through to confirmed orders.
- Growing your territory: Identify new opportunities, stay ahead of design trends and competitor activity, and help expand our presence in the market.
- Keeping things on track: Manage your client relationships, project pipeline, CRM, sales reporting, forecasting, sampling and product updates.

Who we're looking for





We're looking for someone who brings great energy, takes initiative and genuinely enjoys meeting people.

You don't need to tick every box, but we'd love to hear from you if you have:

- A genuine interest in architecture, interiors, materials and design.
- A confident, outgoing personality and a natural ability to connect with people.
- Experience in sales, business development, account management or client relationship roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, whether one-on-one or in front of a room.
- A proactive attitude, solid work ethic and the motivation to make things happen.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- A commercially minded approach and a desire to achieve results.

Experience in architectural specification, kitchen surfaces, building products or the interior design industry would be a big advantage, but we're just as interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, energy and potential.
