W. Eagles Plumbing Supplies Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in West Gosford NSW 2250. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation by managing our accounts payable function with accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing supplier payments, and ensuring all financial records are maintained to the highest standard. This position is integral to our finance operations and directly supports the smooth running of our business.

Key responsibilities

- Process and verify invoices from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Process payments to suppliers in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Prepare and distribute payment reports to relevant departments
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or payment queries
- Manage supplier communications regarding invoices and payment terms
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance administration role




- Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines consistently
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of accounts payable best practices and compliance requirements
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in accounting or finance (preferred)
