Guzman y Gomez Canning Vale is looking for an experienced Retail Manager (Fast Food Manager) to join its restaurant management team in Canning Vale WA 6155.

This is a full-time role that involves organising and controlling the day-to-day operation of a high-volume quick service restaurant trading seven days a week, including product availability and service standards, stock control, sales performance, budgeting, and the recruitment, training and supervision of the restaurant team.

Key Duties:•Plan the restaurant's daily product preparation, par levels and stock holdings so that the full menu is available to customers across all trading hours, and set and monitor customer service and food quality standards in line with Guzman y Gomez brand requirements•Place and manage orders with approved suppliers, apply the franchise's purchasing and local marketing policies at the restaurant, and implement and monitor menu and promotional pricing•Drive sales through local area marketing, in-store promotions, digital ordering and delivery platforms and community events, including Guzman y Gomez cultural celebrations such as Day of the Dead and Cinco de Mayo•Lead the front of house during peak trade, serve and assist customers, advise them on menu items, ingredients and allergen information, and resolve customer feedback and complaints•Keep accurate records of stock on hand, deliveries, wastage and yields, and of daily cash and sales transactions, and complete all daily, weekly and monthly reporting in the company's systems•Prepare sales forecasts and labour budgets, monitor trading results against budget, manage the restaurant's profit and loss, and meet cost of goods sold (COGS), cost of labour (COL) and operating cost targets, putting action plans in place where results fall short•Control the recruitment and selection of crew, prepare rosters to meet forecast trade and labour targets, manage annual and sick leave, and train, cross-train, coach and supervise the team,



including the shift management team•Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and responsible service of alcohol requirements, make sure food safety checklists are completed, investigate and correct reported incidents and near misses, and arrange equipment repairs and maintenance•Ensure the company's HR policies and procedures, employment law and immigration law requirements are followed within the restaurant•Ensure the restaurant is maintained to a clean and hygienic standard, with all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks completed•Report trading results, staffing and operational issues to the General Manager and Franchisee, and contribute to strategies to grow sales and customer numbers

Requirements:•An AQF Diploma or higher qualification in a related field or equivalent is desirable (at least three years of relevant experience in a quick service restaurant, hospitality or retail environment is considered equivalent).•Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Retail Manager (Fast Food Manager) or in a similar management role, including proven experience in all listed duties.•Understanding of retail management practises.•Food Safety Supervisor certificate, Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid, or the ability to obtain them.•Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food service setting.•Robust financial and commercial skills, including managing sales targets, budgets and profit and loss.•Proven track record of meeting KPIs and delivering outstanding customer service.•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.•Immediate availability preferred.

Conditions: Full-time

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 + superannuation
