About the role

At The Cray, we're all about great food, exceptional guest experiences and great people. We're looking for an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to lead The Cray through its next phase of growth and expansion.

Working closely with our Venue Managers, you'll support, coach and develop high-performing teams, bring fresh ideas to life and deliver the kind of exceptional guest experiences that keep customers coming back.

This is an exciting prospect for a commercially driven hospitality leader who can inspire people, strengthen operational performance and help shape the future of a growing restaurant brand.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop Venue Managers, building a fun, inclusive and high-performing culture across the business.
- Set clear expectations, establish accountability and drive consistent performance across the brand.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability and strong commercial performance across all venues.
- Support venues in executing annual business plans and achieving key strategic priorities.
- Develop and implement activations and new revenue opportunities that increase visitation, customer spend and engagement.
- Uphold The Cray's brand standards across all venues, ensuring the guest experience, presentation and operations consistently reflect our brand values.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, People & Culture and other key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Drive operational efficiency through consistent systems,



technology adoption and smarter ways of working.
- Ensure the highest standards of workplace health and safety, food safety, regulatory compliance and liquor licensing.
- Challenge existing practices, identify opportunities and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish and implement a structured framework for recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training and operational readiness to ensure the successful launch of new restaurants and support our national expansion strategy.

About you

- An experienced hospitality leader with a proven track record of managing and developing Venue Managers and management teams.
- A hands-on, visible and approachable leader who enjoys coaching people, building capability and developing future leaders.
- Commercially astute, with demonstrated experience managing budgets, revenue, labour costs, operational expenses and overall business performance.
- Passionate about hospitality, memorable brand experiences and delivering outstanding customer service.
- An exceptional communicator and natural relationship builder who can develop trusted partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experienced in liquor licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety and operational compliance.
- Strategic and solutions-focused, with the ability to translate business objectives into practical actions and measurable results.
- Willing and able to travel interstate regularly as part of the role.
