About the Role
/n Chris Barnard Health is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses with Mental Health experience to provide community nursing services to DVA clients and NDIS participants across Melbourne’s south-east and Mornington Peninsula. /n This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking for flexible casual work, greater independence and the prospect to build ongoing relationships with clients in their own homes. Locations /n We are particularly looking for nurses across: /n /n
- Mornington Peninsula: Mornington, Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Rosebud, Rye, Sorrento, Dromana, Hastings, Somerville, Portsea and surrounding suburbs /n
- Frankston: Frankston, Frankston South, Carrum Downs, Langwarrin, Seaford, Skye and surrounding suburbs /n
- Kingston: Chelsea, Mentone, Mordialloc, Cheltenham, Moorabbin, Aspendale, Parkdale, Highett and surrounding suburbs /n
- Bayside: Brighton, Hampton, Sandringham, Beaumaris, Black Rock, Highett and surrounding suburbs /n

What You'll Do
/n /n /n
- Conduct mental health and community nursing assessments /n
- Develop and review individualised care plans /n
- Support DVA clients and NDIS participants in their homes /n
- Provide support to clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, psychosocial disability and other mental health presentations /n
- Conduct clinical and risk assessments and escalate concerns appropriately /n
- Provide medication support, monitoring and education within RN scope /n
- Liaise with GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists,



support coordinators and other treating professionals /n
- Complete clear and accurate clinical documentation and progress notes /n
- Deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused and person-centred care /n

What You'll Need
/n /n /n
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse /n
- Minimum 12 months' paid RN experience /n
- Minimum 6 months' recent mental health nursing experience /n
- Strong assessment, care planning and clinical documentation skills /n
- Current National Police Check /n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain one /n
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle /n
- Australian working rights /n
- Ability to work independently in the community /n Highly Regarded/n /n /n
- Community mental health nursing experience /n
- DVA Community Nursing experience /n
- Experience supporting NDIS participants with psychosocial disability /n
- Experience with PTSD, complex trauma or Behaviour Support Plans /n
