About the role

The Production Manager is responsible for the design coordination and production planning of aluminium window, door, glazing and associated façade works undertaken by ProGlazed. The position is responsible for reviewing project documentation, preparing estimates and quotations, coordinating design and technical requirements, planning production activities and working with suppliers, employees, subcontractors, project managers and customers to support the efficient delivery of projects from tender through to manufacture and installation. You will support our senior estimator, factory team and installer team to ensure our operations are seamless for our clients.

A successful candidate will have extensive aluminium window and door experience and knowledge and will have a positive attitude and exceptional attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

- Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, tender documentation and other project information.
- Technical drawing experience is critical for this role
- Prepare detailed estimates, take-offs, quotations and costing assessments for aluminium windows, doors, glazing and associated works.
- Determine material, labour, manufacturing, installation and subcontractor requirements for projects.
- Demonstrated ability to take architectural documentation through estimating, technical coordination and preparation for manufacture.
- Prepare and coordinate shop drawings,



fabrication information, schedules and other technical documentation.
- Review project designs and identify technical issues, discrepancies, omissions or opportunities for improved constructibility.
- Liaise with builders, consultants, suppliers and customers regarding design, pricing, specifications and project requirements.
- Assist with product selection, glazing systems, aluminium systems, hardware, finishes and other project-specific requirements.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare material schedules and assist with the procurement and ordering of aluminium, glass, hardware and other materials.
- Coordinate production planning and scheduling to ensure projects are manufactured in accordance with required programs and delivery dates.

About you

- Exercise appropriate qualified judgement and maintain accurate project and costing information.
- Meet reasonable estimating and production deadlines.
- Promptly bring to management's attention any significant design, costing, procurement, production, quality, safety or scheduling issue that may affect a project.
- Work collaboratively with management, administration, estimating, project management, factory and installation personnel.
- Attend project meetings, site inspections and measurements where reasonably required.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
