Alcaston Dental Care is looking for a reliable, motivated and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys caring for patients and is happy to be involved in all aspects of a busy dental practice. We value a supportive team environment where everyone contributes, helps one another and is willing to learn.

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines clinical assisting with reception and general practice duties. Your responsibilities will include:

- Chairside assisting and supporting our clinicians
- Sterilisation, infection control and instrument processing
- Stock control and maintaining a clean, organised clinical environment
- Providing friendly, attentive care to our patients
- Reception duties, including appointments, payments and patient follow-up
- Working collaboratively with the team to keep the practice running smoothly

Teamwork and flexibility are important to us. We believe in cross-training and sharing responsibilities, so you’ll need to be comfortable helping across both clinical and reception areas as needed. No two days are necessarily the same, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed is highly valued.

About you

You’ll be a great fit if you are someone who:

- Has at least one year of dental assisting experience
- Is reliable,



organised and takes pride in doing a job well
- Has positive time management skills and can manage competing priorities
- Communicates warmly and professionally with patients and colleagues
- Enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to help wherever needed
- Has a positive attitude and is keen to keep learning and developing

Previous reception experience is an advantage, but not essential. A willingness to learn and contribute across the practice is what matters most.
