Urgent Hire: Female Support Worker near upper coomera | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings

We’re seeking an experienced female support worker for morning shifts in Maudsland near to upper coomera. Shifts start at 6:00 am and finishes at 3pm.

Flexible availability is essential. The successful applicant must be willing to work flexible hours and be comfortable assisting with cleaning and other support worker duties. High physical support needs, manual handling, hoist-assisted transfers, personal care, daily living, mobility, social and community access.

Key duties

Depending on the client’s needs and support plan, duties may include:

- High levels of physical support and manual handling
- Assisting with transfers and repositioning
- Regular use of manual handling equipment, including a hoist
- Supporting personal care and daily living activities
- Assisting with mobility and safe positioning
- Working safely and confidently in a home environment
- Remaining calm and attentive due to the client having a condition that can involve seizures





What we’re looking for

- Female, compassionate, patient and reliable
- Is physically capable and comfortable with a high level of manual handling
- Recommended to have experience using hoists and other manual handling equipment
- Has experience supporting people with complex disabilities and/or high physical support needs
- Is confident assisting with personal care
- Can follow manual handling and safety procedures
- Is attentive, calm and responsive to the client's needs
- Has valuable communication skills and works well as part of a support team
- Is committed to providing respectful, person-centred support
