Store person / Forklift Operator For Steel Industry

Our client is a proud Australian manufacturer and distributor of steel building products, steel long products, steel sheet and coil. With over 20 years of industry experience, are specialists in steel products and accessories and products.

We are currently seeking an experienced Store person / Forklift Operator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused warehouse professional with experience in steel, aluminum, paper, cardboard, or similar industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operating 5T and 12T counterbalance forklifts

Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently

Handling and stripping steel coils

Operating a C-hook crane to load machinery (training provided)

Booking incoming stock using warehouse systems

Using RF scanners to locate and track inventory

Working collaboratively within the coil bay team to meet operational targets

Following all workplace health and safety procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A current Forklift License (essential)

Experience operating counterbalance forklifts,



ideally 5T-12T

Previous warehouse, stores, or steel industry experience

Solid commitment to workplace safety

Ability to perform manual handling and physical work

Basic computer skills for stock receipting and inventory management

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Overhead crane experience (advantageous but not essential)
