Architect & Trade Specification Representative — Victoria

A key part of the role involves working closely with the Victorian distributor to service and support trade clients effectively. You will build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and project specifiers to ensure NAV products are considered, specified, and converted into supply opportunities. The primary focus of the role is to generate new business and manage existing accounts with architects, designers & builders.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with an existing portfolio of architects, interior designers, joiners, cabinetmakers, and builders.

Identify, pursue, and secure specification opportunities across residential, commercial, and fit-out projects.

Present and provide information on NAV's premium products, custom capabilities, finishes, and technical services.

Work closely with the Melbourne distributor sales team to support trade clients and ensure a consistent customer experience.

Build and manage a strong pipeline of projects and opportunities from early design through to conversion and supply.

Plan and prepare for client meetings, product presentations, site visits, showroom appointments, and industry events.

Track and manage all client activity, samples, quotes, projects, and opportunities in the CRM.

Provide product advice, technical information, and tailored solutions to support project requirements.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new specification opportunities.

Collaborate with internal sales, estimating, production,



and management teams to convert opportunities into orders.

About you

Proven sales, business development, specification, or account-management experience.

Joinery, shop fitting, building materials, interior design, or premium building-products experience is highly regarded.

Genuine people person with a commitment to providing first-class customer service and developing long-term relationships.

Existing contacts within the architectural and design community are highly desirable.

Proven ability to secure product specifications and grow a sales pipeline.

Solid understanding of the decorative building-products market.

High level of resilience, strong work ethic, and high energy levels.

Well presented and take pride in your personal presentation.

Strong time management, administration, and organisational skills.

Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Victorian territory.
