Take ownership of Senior Financial Accounting in a hands-on role with CFO exposure and WFH Arrangements/n Your new company /n An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established Sunshine Coast organisation on an initial 3-month contract. Starting ASAP, this full-time position reports directly to the CFO and offers the flexibility to work from home for up to 2 days per week. While there are no direct reports, you’ll play an important role in supporting the broader finance function and providing senior-level oversight across AP, AR and payroll.
Your recent role /n This is a varied, hands-on position suited to an experienced accountant who can step in quickly and confidently manage senior financial accounting responsibilities.
You will be responsible for: /n /n
- Managing key month-end and year-end accounting activities /n
- Producing accurate financial reporting and supporting management reporting requirements /n
- Providing meaningful financial analysis to support business decision-making /n
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow activities /n
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating financial variances /n
- Supporting the external audit process and coordinating information requirements /n
- Providing guidance and oversight across accounts payable, receivable and payroll /n
- Ensuring strong financial controls are maintained across the finance function /n
- Working through technical accounting matters and supporting appropriate accounting treatment /n




- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve the quality of financial reporting. /n

What you'll need
to succeed /n /nTo be considered for this opportunity, you will be an experienced Senior Financial Accountant who can operate independently and build strong working relationships across the business.
You will also have:/n /n
- CA or CPA qualification – essential /n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline /n
- Strong technical financial accounting experience /n
- Demonstrated month-end and year-end experience /n
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements /n
- A solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards /n
- Previous involvement in external audits /n
- Experience providing oversight or senior support across AP, AR and payroll /n
- Strong reconciliation, financial control and analytical skills /n
- Confidence working across financial systems and Microsoft Excel. /n What you'll get in return /n /n
