You must be based in Australia for this role, with Melbourne-based applicants preferred What you’ll do Elite Trades Australia is a growing Victorian multi-trade contractor delivering electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and building works across Melbourne and regional Victoria. As we take on more design-and-construct commercial projects, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team. What you’ll do
• Design and document electrical services for commercial and industrial projects, such as warehouse and factory shells, switchboards and site supplies
• Prepare designs to AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 1680 and AS 2293
• Produce NCC Section J7 (lighting and power) and J9 (energy monitoring) compliance documentation for building surveyors
• Complete maximum demand calculations, cable sizing and supply applications with distribution businesses
• Prepare switchboard schematics, lighting layouts and as-built drawings
• Work closely with our electricians on site to deliver practical, cost-effective designs What we’re looking for




• Proven experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial buildings
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC Section J
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, and lighting design software such as DIALux or AGi32
• Experience with Victorian distributor requirements and supply applications
• Electrical trade background or engineering qualification (desirable)
• Solar PV design experience (a bonus)
