An established and growing Western Australian gold mining operation is seeking an experienced Ventilation Engineer to join its underground technical services team.

This is a key technical role responsible for the planning, modelling, optimisation and management of underground ventilation systems across the operation.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Developing and reviewing short- and long-term underground ventilation plans

- Designing, modelling and optimising underground ventilation systems

- Undertaking VentSim modelling and simulations

- Monitoring ventilation performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

- Supporting ventilation audits, inspections and compliance activities

- Delivering ventilation improvement projects

- Managing ventilation-related contractors and project activities

- Preparing ventilation reports and technical documentation

- Working closely with Mining, Planning, Production and Technical Services teams

- Ensuring ventilation systems comply with WA mining legislation, regulations and site standards

- Identifying opportunities to improve ventilation efficiency, reliability and operating costs

- Providing technical advice to underground operations and management

About You

The successful candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline

- Strong underground hard-rock mining experience

- Demonstrated experience in underground mine ventilation





- Robust practical and technical knowledge of primary and secondary ventilation systems

- Proven experience using VentSim

- Experience developing and implementing ventilation plans

- Knowledge of WA underground mining legislation and ventilation requirements

- Experience with ventilation projects, optimisation and contractor management

- Robust reporting and stakeholder communication skills

- A current C-Class driver's licence

- The ability to work effectively with operational and technical teams

Experience with:

- Deswik

- Underground mine planning and design

- Ventilation Officer responsibilities

- Ventilation surveys and audits

- Ventilation infrastructure installation and commissioning

- Ventilation management systems

- Energy-efficiency and ventilation optimisation projects
