Pilot Plant Manager Copper Leaching Ops Safety Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pilot Plant Manager to join our team in New South Wales. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our copper leaching pilot plant, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute daily operations plans for the pilot plant, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to specifications.
- Monitor and maintain plant equipment performance, ensuring all safety protocols are followed and documented.
- Track production KPIs, including batch yield, energy usage, and waste reduction metrics, preparing regular reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, proposing changes to improve throughput and reduce operational costs.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to schedule and perform routine upgrades, maintenance, and calibration of critical equipment.
- Lead and supervise the pilot plant staff, providing coaching, training, and performance guidance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations, maintaining all required documentation and certifications.
- Implement rigorous data collection and analysis protocols,



leveraging software tools to track process data and identify trends.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure raw materials, while ensuring optimal inventory levels for uninterrupted operations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership summarizing plant performance and proposed initiatives.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Ability to comfortably sit for long periods of time.
- Good computer and typing skills.
- Comfortable desk and good internet connection.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

- Ability to resolve conflict and de-escalate tense situations.
