Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a motivated Waste Management Officer to join a Resource Recovery team to support the local council. This hands‐on role involves delivering high‐quality waste management services to the community while maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional operation at the Waste Management Centre. You will work across a variety of operational tasks including weighbridge operations, drop‐off area management, and general site maintenance, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and service standards.

Key responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients

Perform operational duties across the resource recovery and transfer station facilities

Perform the role of drop‐off and transfer station area attendant as required

Undertake weighbridge operations, including directing customers, receipting payments,



and recording vehicle weights

Complete labouring and grounds maintenance tasks (mowing, litter collection, weeding, and general upkeep)

Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently, including forklift

Maintain a strong focus on work health and safety standards

About you

Experience in the waste management industry

Class C driver's license

Good communication skills and a robust customer service focus

Willingness to work rostered shifts including weekends and public holidays

Current immunisation (or willingness) for Hepatitis A and B

Construction Induction Certificate - white card (desirable)

Forklift tickets (desirable)

Experience in weighbridge operations and cash handling (desirable)
