Company

The company is an award-winning architecture and construction company exploring a different way of designing and building. They bring architecture, construction and manufacturing together under one roof, designing highly resolved architectural projects and constructing significant portions of them within our Brisbane manufacturing facility before installation and completion on site. Their work sits at the intersection of architecture, construction and advanced off-site manufacturing. They believe the future of construction lies in much closer integration between these disciplines - using the intelligence and precision of manufacturing without losing the individuality, materiality and architectural ambition of a bespoke building. The company is a hands-on setting with ambitious projects and a team interested in continually improving how buildings are designed and made.

The Role

They are looking for a qualified Foreman to deliver architect-designed homes within a controlled factory environment. The Foreman will lead and coordinate construction activities across both the factory and project sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. The role oversees trades and labour, implements works in line with IFC documentation and programme, and maintains alignment between design, factory production, and on-site delivery.

The Foreman will manage workflow, monitor workmanship, and resolve day-to-day construction and coordination issues, with a particular focus on the interface between factory-built modules and site works. The role requires strong leadership, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to maintain consistent quality, safety,

and programme control from factory through to installation and completion. These are not conventional volume building projects; they are architecturally ambitious, highly detailed and technically demanding. They require someone who can understand both the design intent and the commercial and practical realities of construction.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate III in Carpentry
- Current White Card
- Demonstrated experience in high-end architectural residential construction
- Proven ability to independently lead trades, subcontractors and construction activities
- Strong planning, organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and construction programmes

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Project Delivery - take ownership of projects from factory production through procurement, transport, site installation and practical completion, ensuring all stages are coordinated and delivered to plan.
- Programming & Forward Planning - develop and maintain project programmes, manage forward lookaheads, coordinate resources and trades, and proactively address risks, constraints and delays.
- Leadership & Coordination - lead daily factory and site operations, direct trades and subcontractors, set priorities and maintain accountability for productivity, workmanship and progress.

- Procurement & Resource Management - anticipate material, labour, equipment and subcontractor requirements, ensuring everything is organised and available when needed.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance - coordinate inspections, QA checkpoints and hold points, verify work against approved drawings and specifications, and manage defects and corrective actions through to close-out.
- Problem-Solving & Risk Management - identify issues early, make timely decisions and implement practical solutions that balance cost, quality, programme, safety and compliance.
- Communication & Reporting - maintain clear communication between the factory, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors and management, providing accurate progress updates and escalating risks with recommended solutions.
- Completion & Handover - coordinate final inspections, outstanding works, defect close-out and documentation to ensure projects are complete, compliant and ready for client handover.

An experienced, highly organised and proactive construction professional who can independently manage the detail, lead teams and maintain control of project delivery from factory to handover. You will be expected to anticipate what is needed, stay ahead of the programme, make sound decisions and take responsibility for outcomes. The right person will bring strong leadership, initiative and accountability, consistently driving productivity, quality and timely delivery while reducing the need for day-to-day management intervention.

Benefits

- This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate team, dedicated to innovating and shaping the industry's future.
- We offer a supportive environment for professional growth and creativity.
