Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the end-to-end tax compliance and reporting obligations across a portfolio of managed funds,

trusts and associated entities.

- Manage tax calculations and reporting relating to income tax, capital gains tax, MITs/AMITs, withholding tax and GST.
- Oversee tax cost base records, tax fixed asset registers and associated reconciliations.
- Prepare taxable earnings forecasts, distribution projections and other tax-related calculations.
- Directly manage, mentor and develop a Tax Accountant, overseeing their workload, technical development and performance.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external advisers and revenue authorities on compliance and technical tax matters.
- Contribute to technology upgrades, automation initiatives and the implementation of improved tax processes and systems.
- Identify and manage tax risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal governance requirements.

About You:
We are seeking an experienced tax professional with approximately 7-10 years' experience and a strong background in Australian funds taxation.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Strong Australian funds tax experience, gained within professional services, funds management, property, asset management or a similar environment.
- Solid technical knowledge of Australian trust taxation, including MITs/AMITs,

trust distributions and associated compliance obligations.
- Experience managing tax compliance processes from end to end, with excellent attention to detail.
- CA, CPA or relevant postgraduate tax qualifications.
- The ability to manage, mentor and support a junior tax professional.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships and work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- An interest in technology, automation and improving existing tax processes.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work autonomously.

What's on Offer?

- Competitive salary of $180,000 - $200,000 + bonus
- Hybrid working arrangements - approximately 50% work from home
- Opportunity to join an established and highly regarded Australian organisation.
- Exposure to a diverse and complex portfolio of managed funds and investment structures.
- Direct people management responsibility with the opportunity to mentor and develop a Tax Accountant.
- Direct interaction with senior finance leadership and the broader Group Tax team.
- Opportunity to play an active role in technology upgrades, automation and process improvement initiatives.
- A collaborative working environment offering autonomy, responsibility and flexibility.
