Join an established environmental service organisation with a busy operation in Melbourne’s south-east. With a strong focus on safety, reliability and operational performance, they are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to take ownership of maintenance at their Dandenong operation.

Your new role
As the sole Diesel Mechanic on site, you’ll be responsible for keeping the mobile plant and diesel equipment operating safely and reliably. Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing and repairsDiagnosing mechanical faults and responding to breakdownsMaintaining diesel-powered plant and equipmentPrioritising maintenance requirements to minimise downtimeWorking autonomously as the site’s key mechanical resourceEnsuring all work meets safety and maintenance standards




What you'll need to succeed
Relevant Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle trade qualificationHands-on experience with diesel-powered equipmentStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsConfidence working autonomouslyA proactive approach to preventative maintenanceStrong focus on safety and reliabilityAustralian working rights
