About the business:

Chotto Matte is an internationally renowned Japanese-Peruvian restaurant group. With our Sydney restaurant launching in November 2026, we are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join the team.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting of transactions
- Payroll processing for full time and casual employees
- Perform bank, creditors reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of BAS / IAS lodgements, payroll tax
- Cash flow monitoring and management
- Weekly / fortnightly / monthly creditor/contractor payments
- Monitoring the supplier credit limits
- Rebates accounting
- Liaising with external suppliers
- Liaising closely with GM and head chef for smooth functioning of the day-to-day activities
- Assist with audit requirements as required
- General clerical duties, including responding to emails and answering phone calls




- Ongoing bookkeeping and financial management activities
- Supporting ad-hoc reporting

Skills & Experience:

- Must be an Australian citizen / valid PR to apply for this position
- This is an office-based role in Sydney; working from home is not available
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, or F&B; experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Australia
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, and/or Commerce
- High attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with Xero
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Positive, proactive approach in a fast-paced workplace
