AJ Building & Restoration is looking for a proactive Restoration / Make Protected Coordinator to join our Sunshine North team. Your organisation and communication will make a difference to our clients, trades and the people whose properties we attend.

About us

AJ Building & Restoration provides 24/7 emergency Make Safe, Restoration and equipment hire services across multiple Australian states and the ACT.

Our office and field teams work together to support insurance building clients and people dealing with property damage.

The role

You will coordinate jobs from initial contact through to completion, working with insurance builders, property occupants, internal trades, Restoration technicians and subcontractors.

Your day will include:

- Receiving and triaging calls, emails and incoming work orders.
- Booking attendance and allocating jobs to trades and technicians.
- Arranging Restoration inspections, equipment installation, monitoring visits and collections.
- Coordinating Make Safe works and associated equipment hire.
- Arranging appointments with independent environmental professionals (IEPs), where required.




- Keeping clients and occupants informed about appointments and job progress.
- Following up on reports, quotes, photographs and outstanding actions.
- Updating our JMS/CRM so job records accurately reflect what is happening onsite.
- Assisting with report preparation and checking completion documentation.
- Raising urgent issues, delays or changes in scope with the relevant manager.

Priorities can change quickly, particularly during severe weather events. You will need to stay organised, communicate clearly and know when to elevate.

What you will bring

You take ownership, ask questions and follow through. You understand that a timely update can make a big difference to someone waiting for help.

We are looking for:

- Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in administration, scheduling or job coordination.
- Confidence managing a busy workload with competing priorities.
- Accurate data entry and the ability to learn new systems.
- A practical approach to problem-solving and a sense of urgency when needed.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to the wider team.
- A willingness to learn, accept feedback and build your industry knowledge.

Experience in Restoration, Make Safe, insurance building or trade services will be highly regarded.
