We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Active Living Co-Ordinator to join the team at Martha Cove Village in Safety Beach, Victoria. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in promoting health, wellbeing and engagement amongst our residents. As an Active Living Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering a diverse range of social, recreational and wellness activities that encourage residents to remain active, connected and fulfilled within our community. This role is essential to creating a vibrant living environment that supports the holistic health and quality of life of our residents.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, develop and co-ordinate a varied programme of recreational, social, cultural and wellness activities tailored to the interests and capabilities of our diverse resident population
- Engage with residents to understand their preferences, interests and capabilities, ensuring activities remain relevant and inclusive
- Organise and facilitate regular activities such as exercise classes, hobby groups, social events, outings, craft sessions and entertainment programmes
- Liaise with external organisations, entertainers, instructors and community partners to enhance the range of activities available
- Maintain detailed records of resident participation and gather feedback to continually improve programming
- Promote activities and communicate schedules to residents through newsletters, notice boards and other communication channels
- Support residents in attending activities and provide encouragement to those who may be hesitant or less mobile
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards and risk management requirements
- Work collaboratively with other team members to support the overall wellbeing objectives of Martha Cove Village

What we're looking for

- Experience working in Health and Wellbeing qualified background. e.g. exercise physiologist, osteopath,



Lifestyle, fitness instructor. Community services or recreational programming, ideally with an understanding of the needs of older adults
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and staff
- Enthusiasm for promoting health, wellbeing and active living within a community setting
- Ability to be adaptable, creative and responsive to the interests and capabilities of a diverse group of residents
- Physical ability to assist residents and set up activity spaces, with awareness of safe manual handling practices
- Reliable and punctual with a genuine passion for making a positive difference to residents' lives
- First Aid or similar certification is advantageous, Police clearance certificate essential.
- Knowledge of My Aged Care platform.
