We are a friendly, welcoming and supportive boutique accounting firm located in the heart of Toowong, Brisbane, conveniently situated right next to the train station.

While we may be a smaller firm, our client base is anything but limited! We work with a diverse range of clients, from individuals and small businesses to high-net-worth individuals and complex business structures.

Our work covers all types of entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs) and deceased estates.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated accountant who wants more than just sitting behind a desk preparing tax returns.

As part of our team, you will:

- Gain exposure to a broad range of clients, industries and entity structures.
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance work.
- Have direct client contact from day one, building relationships and developing your communication skills.
- Gain valuable experience attending client meetings and explaining technical accounting and taxation matters in a practical, easy-to-understand manner.
- Develop your technical knowledge and professional confidence with guidance and support from experienced accountants.
- Enjoy the opportunity to take ownership of your work while continuing to learn and grow.

Unlike some larger firms where accountants may be restricted to particular types of clients or tasks, we offer the opportunity to gain experience across virtually all areas of public practice accounting.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

- Completed a relevant university degree in accounting or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm.
- Familiarity with Excel , Handisoft and bookkeeping software such as Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks




- The ability to prepare most accounting and taxation jobs to approximately 90% completion independently, with senior review and guidance where required.
- Membership of, or be working towards, CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
- Good communication skills and a willingness to engage directly with clients.
- A positive attitude, initiative and a genuine willingness to learn.
- Australian residency or unrestricted working rights in Australia.
