About PPM Engineering
PPM Engineering is an industrial maintenance and fabrication business. We have a strong record across FMCG, food and beverage, and can-making plants, and we’ve installed complete production lines for some of Australia’s largest packaging manufacturers.
We’ve just moved into a new workshop in Smithfield that’s double the size of our old one, and we’re increasing our capacity to take on more work. To do that, we need good people who want to grow with us.
We’re a small, close crew. We pay properly, we don’t cut corners, and we treat our people as people, not numbers. If you take pride in your work and want somewhere to settle long term, we’d like to hear from you.
What the Work Looks Like
Our work is a mix of site maintenance, breakdowns, installations, workshop fabrication and shutdowns. Some weeks are standard hours. During shutdowns and large projects the hours are big, and all overtime and weekend work is paid at full award penalty rates.
Starting With a Major Shutdown
Shutdown commencing 27/12 - 9/2/27: 6 x 12-hour days (72 hours per week), with overtime and weekends paid at 1.5x and 2.0x. It’s a great way to start earning, and it’s followed by steady, ongoing project, maintenance and workshop work.
