Retail Traineeship

Start Date: 18th January 2027

Location: Warwick, Toowoomba, Dalby, Oakey, St George, Tara

Employment Type: Full-Time Temporary

This Traineeship is funded by the Skilling Queenslanders For Work Program.

It will run from January 2027 - June 2027

Successful applicants must be able to gain a National Coordinated Criminal History Check clearance prior to commencing.

An exciting chance exists to become a trainee with one of South West Queensland's most dynamic and community responsive organisations. Lifeline Darling Downs (LDDSWQL) has been serving the community of Toowoomba, and the wider South Western Queensland area for 50 years. LDDSWQL is proud to host these traineeships and acknowledge that this training project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

About the Role

The Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative represents a significant investment to support Queenslanders into work. Skilling Queenslanders for Work provides training to people who are under-utilised or under-employed in the labour market, as well as build your employable skills.



During your working week, you will be supported to complete a Certificate online, that is awarded after it is achieved. Your role will support our existing staff and volunteers within our Business Division (Distribution).

What You'll Do

- Become a part of our strong and fun retail team, providing support for team members and volunteers who work within the retail outlet.
- Ensure maximum levels of efficiency and responsiveness.
- Ensure the smooth running of the duties and adequate support for all team members.
- Operate in a retail environment.
- Ensure all stock is correctly and safety stored.
- Participate in training as per a requirement of this traineeship.

About You

- Haven't previously participated in a "Skilling Qld for Work" project.
- 18 years or older.
- Residing in Qld.
- Be positive with a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn on the job.
- Reliable.
