Import Coordinator

About the Opportunity

An established transport and logistics business based at the Port of Brisbane is seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join its growing operations team.

This role is suited to a logistics professional with a background in import coordination, container transport, truck allocation, slot bookings and delivery scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate import container movements from arrival through to final delivery.
- Manage truck allocation, slot bookings and transport scheduling.
- Book container slots with relevant terminals and facilities.
- Monitor container availability, holds and release requirements.
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transport providers and customers.
- Coordinate daily transport requirements and manage changing priorities.
- Monitor delays, slot changes and potential additional costs.
- Maintain accurate records and provide updates to customers and internal teams.




- Resolve operational issues to ensure import movements run smoothly.

About You

- Minimum 3 years' experience in import coordination, container transport or logistics operations.
- Experience with truck allocation, slot bookings and transport scheduling.
- Understanding of container movements and port operations.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.

- $80,000–$85,000 + superannuation, depending on experience.
