Based at Canberra Hospital, this role provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside allied health clinicians and other health professionals in supporting individuals through their treatment and recovery journeys within both inpatient and outpatient settings.

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering practical support, psychoeducation, group programs, stakeholder liaison and referral pathways for people accessing ADS Specialty Services. You will also collaborate with government and non‑government services, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.

We are seeking an organised, adaptable and compassionate professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to build effective relationships with consumers, families and stakeholders, work confidently within a multidisciplinary team, and manage a varied workload with initiative and sound judgement. If you are passionate about person‑centred care,

committed to supporting people with diverse and complex needs, and keen to contribute to an innovative ATOD service, we encourage you to apply.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note: This is a temporary position available for 11 months with possibility of extension.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed‑term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.
