Are you an experienced dental receptionist who loves connecting with people and making patients feel welcome?

Alira Smiles Dental is looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team in Berwick.

We are passionate about providing exceptional dental care and creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. We are looking for someone who shares these values and understands that excellent patient care starts from the very first phone call or greeting at reception.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of our practice and creating a welcoming, professional environment.

- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, friendly reception experience
- Managing incoming phone calls, patient enquiries and appointment bookings
- Coordinating appointments, recalls and patient follow-ups
- Handling payments and general reception administration
- Building genuine relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable and cared for




- Supporting the clinical team occasionally with dental assisting and sterilization duties when required
- Working collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants and the wider team to ensure the practice runs smoothly

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in a dental practice is essential
- Knowledge and experience with Core Practice dental software is highly preferred
- A background in dental reception, dental assisting or other dental practice duties
- Confidence in handling patient enquiries and managing busy phone lines in a calm, professional manner
- Ability to assist with sterilisation and clinical support duties when required
- Excellent communication, organisational and multitasking skills
- A reliable, proactive and responsible attitude
- A caring, empathetic personality with a genuine passion for patient care
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and contributes to a positive workplace culture
