About the role

We are seeking a Full-Time Retail Store Assistant to join our team at Pacific Green Grocery in St Marys.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and being part of a supportive team.

You will play an important role in ensuring our store runs smoothly, shelves are well stocked, products are presented to a high standard and customers receive a positive shopping experience.

Position details:

- Employment type: Full-Time (38 hours per week)
- Location: St Marys, NSW
- Roster: Rotating fortnightly roster
- Weekend availability is essential
- Public holiday availability may be required

Key responsibilities

- Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service
- Operate POS systems and process cash, EFTPOS and other customer transactions accurately
- Replenish shelves,



fridges and freezers to maintain stock availability
- Ensure products are displayed neatly, correctly priced and presented to a high standard
- Assist with receiving, unpacking and organising stock deliveries
- Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles and monitor product expiry dates
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including shelves, checkout areas and storage spaces
- Assist customers with product enquiries and locating items
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to management
- Follow store procedures, food safety standards and workplace health and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently
- Assist with general store duties and other operational tasks as required

About you

- Previous experience in grocery or supermarket environments is essential
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual and committed to your responsibilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with physical duties, including standing for extended periods, replenishing shelves and safely handling stock
- Basic computer skills and confidence using POS systems
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
