About The Role

HCLTech is seeking a Data Analyst to support the delivery of an Intraday Liquidity (IDL) Reporting Uplift programme. In this role, you will help enhance the monitoring, forecasting, reporting and risk management of intraday liquidity, supporting alignment with APRA APS 210 obligations and relevant business requirements.

You will work across Treasury, Risk, Operations, Finance and Technology to investigate complex financial data, establish transparent requirements and support dependable reporting outcomes. You will connect regulatory and business needs to practical data specifications, assess data quality, document data lineage and mappings, and contribute to testing and implementation activities. Your analysis will help stakeholders understand liquidity positions, identify data issues and make reporting outputs more accurate and traceable.

Qualifications

- Strong SQL skills and experience analysing large, complex financial datasets.
- Practical experience with data profiling, reconciliation, validation and data quality assessment.
- Understanding of data lineage, source-to-target mapping and transformation requirements.
- Experience in Treasury, Finance, Risk, Operations or regulatory reporting within a banking or financial services environment.

- Working knowledge of liquidity and cash management, payments, settlement processes or financial reporting.
- Ability to document requirements clearly and communicate findings to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of APRA, Basel or prudential reporting requirements is advantageous.
- Experience with intraday liquidity or liquidity risk programmes, regulatory reporting, or financial data warehousing is preferred. Familiarity with platforms such as Murex, RITS, GPP, NPP, Austraclear or Ab Initio is also beneficial.

Responsibilities

- Elicit, document and validate business, functional and data requirements, translating regulatory obligations into actionable reporting specifications.
- Analyse cash, liquidity, payment and settlement data across multiple source systems; document lineage, mappings and transformation logic.
- Facilitate requirements workshops with Treasury, Risk, Operations, Finance and Technology stakeholders, confirming assumptions and resolving questions.
- Profile datasets, identify gaps, anomalies and reconciliation issues, and define appropriate data quality controls and remediation needs.
- Support reconciliation and validation of liquidity balances, positions, transactions and intraday metrics.
- Contribute to APS 210 reporting requirements,

including calculations and specifications for Largest Negative Net Cumulative Position (LNNCP), intraday liquidity utilisation, payment inflows and outflows, settlement obligations, and forecast-versus-actual positions.
- Develop test scenarios and support system integration testing, user acceptance testing and parallel runs. Validate calculations and dashboard outputs, assist with defect triage, and contribute to go-live readiness and post-implementation checks.
- Prepare clear project documentation, such as business requirements, functional and data specifications, data dictionaries, mapping documents, reconciliation reports, test scenarios, traceability matrices and issue analysis.
- Share analysis, risks and recommendations with business and technical teams, vendors and delivery partners.

Benefits Join a collaborative, cross-functional programme where your analysis will contribute to important financial reporting and liquidity risk capabilities. You will have opportunities to work with varied data, engage with specialists across banking functions, and strengthen your experience in regulatory reporting, data quality and delivery. HCLTech offers a professional environment focused on teamwork and learning. Specific employment benefits are subject to the applicable role, location and employment arrangements.
