We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to strengthen our team!

The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for continuously improving our organization's health and safety culture. This position plays a key role in managing employee training, identifying workplace hazards, promoting best practices, and maintaining occupational health and safety (OHS) records.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and update occupational health and safety policies and procedures (working at heights, hot work, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, respiratory protection, WHMIS).
- Implement internal audit systems and prevention plans.
- Conduct investigations and analyze workplace accidents and incidents.
- Develop and deliver occupational health and safety training programs.
- Implement employee engagement and awareness initiatives (e.g., Health and Safety Week).
- Collaborate with external health and safety partners and prevention specialists.
- Develop and oversee job site safety inspections.
- Provide in office guidance, coaching, and support to employees, promoting a proactive and educational approach to workplace safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee training records.




- Manage occupational health and safety files in collaboration with the Human Resources department.

Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in construction, excavation, and working at heights.
- Knowledge of Quebec's Occupational Health and Safety Act (LSST), Safety Code for the Construction Industry (CSTC), and Regulation Respecting Occupational Health and Safety (RSST).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in Canadian provinces outside Quebec.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to work.

Requirements

- Strong command of the English language.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Willingness and availability to travel to job sites across Canada.
- Strong analytical and observational skills.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential and personal information.
