Role Description The Overhead Supervisor is a full-time, on-site position based in Western Sydney, NSW, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of overhead line and related infrastructure projects. This role plans, coordinates, and supervises field crews, ensuring that work on overhead systems is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

The Overhead

Supervisor monitors job progress, conducts site inspections, manages resources and materials, and resolves operational issues to maintain service reliability. This position also prepares and reviews work reports, supports incident investigations, and collaborates with engineers, project managers, and clients to align field activities with project objectives. The role involves continuous attention to safety practices,



quality control, and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience supervising overhead line, network, or infrastructure crews within the energy, utilities, or related sectors.
- Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and coordinating in office activities, including resource allocation and workflow management.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices for overhead operations, with a commitment to safety leadership.
- Proficiency in using relevant digital tools and software for reporting, documentation, and project tracking.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with field staff, management, clients, and external partners.
- Ability to analyze operational issues, troubleshoot problems in the field, and implement practical solutions under time constraints.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and performance feedback for field personnel is highly beneficial.
- Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in electrical, powerline, or infrastructure disciplines; a diploma or degree in a related field is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site across various locations in Sydney, NSW as required.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and willingness to comply with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
