Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, assembling, installing, and repairing cabinets, cupboards, wardrobes, kitchen units, and other custom-made furniture. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and cabinet-making specifications.

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber, plywood, MDF, laminates, and other materials.

Manufacture and install kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, cupboards, shelving, and other custom furniture.

Operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.

Install hinges, handles, drawer runners, and other cabinet hardware.

Apply laminates, veneers, and other finishes as required.

Conduct quality checks to ensure all products meet design specifications and quality standards.

Install cabinets and furniture at residential and commercial sites.

Repair, modify, and maintain existing cabinets and furniture.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop and worksite.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Work collaboratively with designers, builders, contractors, and other team members.





Complete assigned work within project deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills

Relevant qualification in Cabinet Making or a related trade is preferred.

Previous experience in cabinet making, joinery, or furniture manufacturing.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.

Knowledge of timber, engineered wood products, laminates, and cabinet hardware.

Experience operating woodworking machinery and power tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Good problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Experience

Previous experience in manufacturing and installing kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, office furniture, and other custom joinery products is highly desirable.
